The four astronauts on the Artemis 2 mission have traveled farther from Earth than anyone has gone before.

The astronauts of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA's) spaceflight mission, Artemis II, witnessed a total solar eclipse, as no human has experienced before.

The spacecraft reached its maximum distance from Earth for this mission, which is “suspected to be” about 252,756 miles, according to NASA.
