Technical devices sometimes have the annoying habit of drawing attention to themselves through beeping or other noises. What manufacturers consider practical can annoy users, such as with microwaves.

If I change the default beep to something more gentle, at least the sound won't be so loud and abrupt but I want to get rid of any system beeps and theme sounds all together.
